Quincy Place Senior Living was developed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring resilience, adaptability, and close coordination across planning, entitlement, and design. The project reflects a market-driven development approach rooted in local context and long-term operational performance.
Planned and entitled amid pandemic-era uncertainty, Quincy Place required navigating evolving zoning processes, remote approvals, and shifting municipal workflows. Early collaboration with local partners and Traditions Management informed a development strategy focused on operational efficiency, staff workflow, and long-term sustainability. Design decisions were intentionally shaped to reflect Holland’s Dutch heritage, creating a strong sense of place while positioning the community for long-term market acceptance and performance.
Construction at Quincy Place took place during a volatile post-COVID environment marked by inflation, labor constraints, and material shortages. Delivering the project required flexibility, proactive planning, and real-time problem-solving to maintain schedule and quality.
Throughout construction, the team navigated inflationary pressures and ongoing supply chain disruptions, including limited availability of key materials. Close coordination between the construction team, architects, and suppliers allowed for thoughtful design adjustments when materials were unavailable or delayed. These modifications preserved design intent and functionality while supporting efficient construction sequencing. Despite challenging market conditions, the community was completed in June 2023, delivering a high-quality, durable asset built for long-term performance.
Since opening, Quincy Place has been exceptionally well received in the Holland market, driven by strong leadership, operational consistency, and resident-focused management.
From day one, Quincy Place has maintained a stable core leadership team, eliminating the need for agency staffing. This continuity supported strong culture, consistent service delivery, and operational efficiency. As a result, the community reached 100% occupancy within two years of opening, becoming Leo Brown Group’s fastest senior living development to achieve both operational breakeven and full stabilization. Quincy Place continues to perform as a high-quality, well-managed community serving residents and staff alike.
