
Tom SmithTom co-founded Leo Brown Group in 2006 and now leads the corporate strategy and business operations for its affiliates, including Leo Brown Development, Traditions Management, and Grand Contracting. He is a seasoned real estate development and construction executive who is responsible for the oversight of the company’s senior housing developments, pre‑construction, construction services, and asset management operations. With a diverse background in multiple real estate product types, Tom is an expert in all facets of development.
Prior to founding Leo Brown Group, he was Senior Director of Development for one of the largest commercial real estate development companies in the country. During this tenure at his prior employment, he directly managed the development and construction of multiple medical office buildings in the Midwest and a series of specialty hospitals in the Southeast.
Tom is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in construction engineering and management. He is active with several local organizations, including serving as the Executive Leadership Team for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Indianapolis, and serving on the School Governing Board at Guerin Catholic High School in Noblesville, Indiana.

Justin BrownJustin Brown co‑founded Leo Brown Group in 2006 and now oversees all construction endeavors across the Leo Brown Group companies. He has vast working experience in nearly every position on and off the construction site. His broad range of construction understanding across multiple industries brings creative solutions to all our projects.
Prior to founding Leo Brown Group, Justin spent 15 years with his family’s commercial construction company and ran concrete and carpentry crews from a young age. Justin developed the company’s site work division and lead the company into the industrial market before forming Leo Brown Group.
Justin is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Building Construction Management.

Mike WagnerMike Wagner oversees Leo Brown Group’s senior living and healthcare development initiatives, with responsibility for identifying new opportunities and evaluating the market feasibility of prospective projects. He also plays a key role in sourcing and managing relationships with the firm’s debt and equity partners, and is actively involved in directing the marketing strategies for each new senior living community.
Over the course of his career, Mike has been responsible for the development of more than 50 senior living communities, specialty hospitals, medical office buildings, and ambulatory care centers, representing more than $1.2 billion in total project value.
Mike is a graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He is engaged in a number of local and national senior living industry organizations and is committed to supporting several charitable organizations in his hometown of Indianapolis.

Chris KingChris King has led Leo Brown Group’s financial strategy, capital formation, and accounting functions since 2016. He is responsible for capital deployment, lender and equity relationships, transaction structuring, and investment underwriting.
Prior to joining Leo Brown Group, Chris held senior finance roles at a national healthcare real estate firm, where he focused on capital sourcing, REIT relationships, and financial analysis. Earlier in his career, he advised healthcare clients on buy-side and sell-side due diligence as an M&A professional with PricewaterhouseCoopers and began his career as an external auditor with Crowe, auditing banks and other financial institutions.
Chris earned his degree with distinction in accounting and management from Purdue University and is a certified public accountant (inactive) in Indiana and Georgia. He is an Eagle Scout and attends Zionsville Presbyterian Church.

Bill MortonBill Morton serves as Managing Director and Partner at Leo Brown Group and is a key member of the firm’s executive leadership team. With more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Bill has completed over $2.0 billion in transactions across multiple property types, markets, and economic cycles. Since joining Leo Brown Group more than a decade ago, he has played a central role in the firm’s growth, leading market expansion, site acquisition, entitlements, and capital formation efforts.
Prior to Leo Brown Group, Bill led business development for a national post-acute care development company, partnering with skilled nursing operators on strategic growth initiatives. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President at a national consulting firm, providing market and financial advisory services for hotel and resort developments.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and remains active in several trade and civic organizations. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, cheering on the Colts and Boilermakers, and playing golf.

Kevin SeeKevin See oversees Leo Brown Group’s development and construction operations. Kevin’s roles include managing the development operations team, entitlements, due diligence, design, permitting and approvals, bidding, contracting, and construction management. Kevin serves as owners’ representative throughout the construction process striving to create a smooth transition of projects from development through construction and into operations.
Prior to joining Leo Brown Group, Kevin was a Vice President of Project Management for one of the largest private commercial real estate development companies in the country. He personally oversaw the development and construction of over 14 million square feet of new development projects valued at over $1 billion throughout the United States.
Kevin is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Civil Engineering and Construction. He is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Troy BertschTroy Bertsch serves as Managing Director at Leo Brown Group, where he oversees development operations for senior living and healthcare projects. His role includes leading the development team from initial concept through construction completion, with responsibility for due diligence, entitlements, design coordination, and construction administration across much of the firm’s portfolio. Troy also frequently serves as owner’s representative and construction administrative representative, helping ensure a smooth transition from development into construction and operations.
Troy has been with Leo Brown Group since 2009. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Senior Project Manager of Development Operations for one of the nation’s largest commercial real estate development companies, where he oversaw the development and construction of more than 2 million square feet of projects across the United States. Troy holds a degree in Construction Management from Purdue University and enjoys seeing projects evolve from early ideas into completed communities.

Joe BeckJoe serves as Vice President of Construction for Grand Contracting. He is responsible for setting and executing construction operations strategy across the organization. Joe oversees field operations, project management, and construction execution while establishing systems, processes, and accountability that drive consistent performance across the portfolio. He works closely with development partners and project teams to align early planning with operational execution, manage risk at a portfolio level, and scale teams and resources to support growth. Joe holds a degree in Construction Management from Purdue University.
