Leo Brown Group was founded in 2006 in Indianapolis by Tom Smith and Leo Justin Brown, lifelong childhood friends from Logansport, Indiana, and later college roommates at Purdue University. Their prior experiences in development and construction taught them that integrating development, construction, and management from the outset was critical to long-term viability and success. Those lessons became the foundation of Leo Brown Group’s hands-on, fully integrated approach. In 2010, the firm broke ground on its first senior living community in Fort Wayne, Indiana, marking the beginning of a long-term commitment to creating high-quality environments that deliver lasting value and impact.
